GET TO KNOW SCOTT.
- One thing people might not know about you?
One thing that you might know about me is that I started a fashion label at 21 years old. It was an international label I ran from my own store in Vancouver for 6 years.
- What was your favourite trip you’ve taken?
One of my favourite trips I have taken was my trip to Australia. I went down to spend 3 months living and working out of Sydney. During this trip I borrowed a camper van from a friend and went on a coastal journey starting in Melbourne and ending in Byron Bay. This experience was so rich with experiences and beauty and helped me through a tough stage in my life mentally.
- What is one thing you have always wanted to learn or know how to do?
A part of me has always wanted to learn how to sail. I have a lot of experience with motor boats and water sports but I have never given myself the time to learn how to sail. I find the idea of sailing around the world frightening but magical as well.
- When you’re not modelling, what else are you up to?
In my spare time I find I'm always in search of new experiences. I often challenge myself to a new project every month whether it be carpentry, mechanics or just picking out a new spot on the map to hike and explore.
- What if anything did you learn about yourself during this past year of Covid?
One lesson I learned through Covid is the importance of slowing down. Our lives can often become chaotic with work and socialising, a constant need to stay connected on our phones. I've found that covid forced us to slow down a little and stew in our thoughts a bit more. Reflect on how we are living our lives and whether or not we are applying our time and efforts in the right direction.
