One thing people might not know about you?
I played the tuba in highschool and my first wardrobe styling client was Julie Andrews. She inspired my love for and collecting of silk scarves. Ok that’s two things. There are many.
What is your favorite accessory? Where did you get it?
Well that is a hard one as I have my Hummingbird guitar, my 69 Ford pickup and my dogs George and Jett. All of those make for some good times in great places. Also vintage flight suits and kimonos. I have a closet full.
George is my American bulldog rescue from the streets of LA. My friend Sima and I found him during the middle of styling the awards shows. We found each other in 2012 and he has saved me as much as I have saved him. He also gets booked for photo shoots. His favorite was with his pal David Cronenberg for Mulberry.
When you are not modeling, what else are you up to?
This is a long list as I enjoy being busy. I worked in Fashion and Lifestyle Marketing and PR as my secondary career. I managed the Entertainment Relations for a brand I once modeled for.
I toured extensively as a musician as a singer/songwriter made a record or two and I got to meet many of my music idols.
During Covid I applied and worked as an apprentice in New Mexico learning the technique of building and firing an anagama kiln for ceramics. I have since launched my own ceramics business called Hark Ceramics.
What are three words you would use to describe yourself?
Determined, resourceful, empathetic
What if anything did you learn about yourself during this past year of Covid?
It was more of what I was reminded of during Covid. I have been fortunate that with hard work and determination I have lived a very successful and full life but where I have also had to put my careers on hold to take care of my health. I was forced to do it again with Covid Pneumonia and my Post Covid recovery. Surround yourself with those you love and call your family as often as you can as you never know when that will be your last time to say, ‘I love you’ to someone you love.
