What is your favourite accessory?

-My favourite accessory is a vintage Rolex that my partner gave to me for my 30th birthday. He said he wanted to give me something that could be passed down as an heirloom to our future family; something that would hold value over time. Like most people, I was acting pretty dramatic about turning 30 but my partner’s concept behind the watch made me feel optimistic about getting older. 

 What do you get up to when you are not modelling?

-When I’m not modelling I’m running a full time vintage business! I own an online concept store called Cherish the Label (cherishthelabel.com) that specializes in curated vintage and second-hand. Cherish is a one-woman operation, from sourcing pieces to shooting e-comm to fulfilling shipments, I do everything myself. No slow days here! 

 Is there something people don't know about you?

-One thing most people don’t know about me is that I’m actually a pretty proficient guitar player. I studied and took lessons for years starting from age 10. In high school when it was time to decide where I would go for post-secondary it was between a musical conservatory or art school. I picked art school because I thought it was more “practical” (HA!). 

 What is your biggest motivation?

-My biggest motivation is independence. Especially when it comes to my professional and financial goals. I’ve always been entrepreneurial at heart and have always resisted taking conventional paths. There was one point in my life where I went against my intuition and ended up getting stuck in an abusive 9-5 corporate job for 4 years. I walked away from that experience with a vow to always be my own boss and to be the boss I never had.
