While in NYC a few weeks ago I hooked up with a dear old friend from the 80’s. I met Susie through her sister Carol who worked for a designer called Shamash. I was doing fittings and showroom all week and the best thing to do come Friday was to head to Susie and Pat’s place on Long Island. I  met Marlene Wetherell at that time when she owed a beautiful antique clothing store on the upper East Side. Nowadays Marlene has an amazing store in the THE SHOWPLACE on West 25th Street, where she stocks gorgeous vintage designer pieces such as Chanel, Krizia, Ungaro and really too many to name. It is a feast for the eyes.  The store has become a must  for designers looking for amazing inspirational pieces as well as models looking for a signature piece to wear to castings. When I was there a very prominant stylist dropped by to try on and then purchase a beautiful tweed Fendi dress from the 80’s!!
